Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on 22 August 1995, in London United Kingdom. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a several years of hard work. She put out a self-titled album in 2017. It peaked at number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at 6th in the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakthrough act in 2018. The album was certified platinum in the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is the reason she has Bosnian descent. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. Gjin as well as Rina are her siblings. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father, who is the principal musician and vocalist for The Kosovan band Oda. Lipa started to sing when she was only five years old. When she was in her 9th year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School.
